OCTOBER '10 - da bouche is in LOVE Magazine and on the BBC today programme...

La Bouche are in LOVE magazine as one of Teal Trigg's (author of the recent Thames&Hudson book 'Fanzines') TOP ten, most favourite EVER zines. She says bout da bouche "There is a genuine honesty to the writing and its graphic presentation in this alternative news and culture zine that ...appears both in print and online. I simply like the approach and the interviews – comedy terrorist Aaron Barshack or the Fall’s keyboard player, Elena Poulou are not the usual celebrity suspects."

We also are selected by Triggs to feature on BBC today programme Audio Slide show about literary subculture...

APRIL '10 - Amnesty Media Awards

Amnesty International will be sponsoring La Bouche to enter their very prestigious 2010 Media Awards! Fingers crossed, eh! Thanks Amnesty - you're fab!

 

 

JANUARY '10 Happy New Year lovely La Bouche readers! Here's to more good times...

La Bouche is the first ever 'Zine fo the Month' at the ICA... (yeahh!) here are all the lovely things they had to say about us..

"What I like about La Bouche first of all is that it looks and feels like a zine rather than a vanity project, plus they're not afraid to be genuinely critical. I don't know why it should seem like such a novelty to read the work of writers who can actually write, and who are motivated by a genuine interest in their subject, but La Bouche manages a good mix of art and politics, of information and critique.

This issue features exclusive interviews with Jon Pilger, Elena Poulou of the Fall, David Shayler and 'Windsor Terrorist' Aaron Barshak, plus all sorts of talk about reality tv, the Middle East, veganism, art, music, as well as some poetry, some fiction and who knows what else. No wonder they use so many exclamation marks in their press releases..."
